Meetings
Monthly Meetings (See Weekly Group Carve-ins Below)
The Rochester Woodcarvers Club has regular meetings on the third Saturday of the month from 9:45 am to 11:45 am. Visitors are always welcome.
The agenda for meetings usually follows:
- Welcome to members and self-introduction of visitors
- Club business meeting
- Show-and-tell when individuals show and discuss their recent projects – all levels from extreme novice to master carver are shown and welcomed.
- Guest speaker – presents on a type of, topic or technique related to woodcarving or other wood craft such as lathe work, scroll work, project painting/staining, etc.
Notice reminders about meetings are emailed to all members several days (usually the Wednesday) prior to the meetings. If the meeting is virtual over Zoom, the link information will be included. If you wish to be a visitor at a Zoom meeting, please email contact@rochesterwoodcarvers.com for login information. At in person meetings there is time for members, guests, and visitors to socialize before the start of the meeting and to visit with the guest speak for a few minutes after the meeting. The club also has a lending library of over 400 books on all aspects of wood carving that is available at the meetings to members.
Meetings are held in the Fireside Room at the Zumbro Lutheran Church in Rochester, MN. (See the Meeting Location page for maps.)
