I am a largely self-taught woodcarver since 2001, though I have been making sawdust since age 5 and was always drawn to woodworking. My interest in carving was sparked by watching a woodcarver in action while on vacation as a child. When my last child went off to college I became serious about carving, joined the Rochester Woodcarvers and eventually began doing commissioned works, usually of decorative nature.
